Did Rich Sommer answer at least one of our pressing questions about this season’s Mad Men?

This morning, while waiting for the train, I saw Rich Sommer (aka Harry Crane, Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce’s Head of Television Production) Tweeting so I decided to pose a question about Harry’s increasingly “Hollywood-esque” behavior this season. Sommer is actually very active on Twitter and is very attentive to his followers, so I figured hey, why the hell not?

(Side note—I would have loved to have seen a bit more of Harry this season.)

I did not necessarily expect a reply, so you can imagine my utter joy and surprise when moments later…

Last night’s episode had me wondering if Harry wasn’t secretly casting talent for adult films, then again, perhaps I was just looking for secret subplots. I also considered with all of the time Harry spends “on the coast,” had it not truly gotten to him. Harry’s gone Hollywood.

Rich Sommer seems to think so, too! :)

    Thanks for the scoop! I honestly didn’t think Harry had some grand plan going on (although the idea of him as a porn producer is hilarious. Harry can become the new “Jerry Gerard.” And no, I didn’t know who the producer of “Deep Throat” was. I looked it up. Now isn’t that sad, that I would run off and look up “Deep Throat” before posting?)

    Hollywood Harry. We haven’t seen his cute wife in awhile. I wonder if he’s going to cheat on her with a starlet and dump her in NY to buy a house in Malibu.

    I thought the whole Carolyn Jones thing was funny. Some people have been assuming she was supposed to be the real Carolyn Jones, the real Morticia. I think that’s silly. The joke was that she shared a name with a famous person. Someone else pointed out that the actress playing the role was on ANTM. She had a fit when they cut her hair into a pixie cut and then left the show because of it. I think her name is Cassandra. Very pretty. Not very nice.

        sadly ive seen that byotch’s face in a couple of ad campaigns. she’s been doing well since Top Model. if the annoying buck toothed girl from True Blood can end up on MadMen, i guess anyone can.
