IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: TopIdol is going on holiday

Hello everybody. Do I have your attention? Good.

As most of you know, it is the time of year again. The time when I make my now-annual pilgrimage to my “home” in Black Rock City, NV. Since I’ve seen enough threads get trashed by incessant tarding and trolling during those few times when I get away, I am leaving you with a VERY CAPABLE BABYSITTER.

You know her well, as she is a long-time reader and poster. She commands respect because she is smart, funny and fair. She is also one of the greatest artists of our generation. If you STILL do not know who I am talking about…

DEEZ!!!!

Deez will be your commander-in-chief while I am away on my desert sojourn. She will post and mod you. Hell, you might enjoy her posts more than you have enjoyed mine as of late. You might even get to tard out more. It is all up to DEEZ!

I know I owe you the rest of my Glamnation recap, and if I can write that tonight while mid-flight, I certainly will do my best to get it out to you. But I cannot promise anything. I will also try to check in once or twice while I am out there. I know I will have some access to internet if I want it, but trust me when I say you get used to ignoring it while you’re there. I may have phone/email service, not sure, but it will be spotty at best. And frankly, I don’t really advertise the fact I run an American Idol-centric blog at fraking BURNING MAN. If the subject (or related subjects) come up, I might mention it. I’m not ashamed if my shit blog.

So be good while I am away (but I’m not gone yet, so be really really good until then). I am always watching, and Deez carries a mighty big stick.
