Sophia’s Heart Kiddies sing song about drunk dialing ex-lovers

Danny Gokey’s Sophia’s Heart Foundation is all about helping kids and helping the arts and helping kids’ arts. There might be a Sophia’s Heart Children’s Choir or something. And for one of their first performance, they chose Lady Antebellum’s Need You Know, a beautiful song about drunk dialing an ex-lover.

They may have amended some of the lyrics, but the kids look confused on those parts, so…you really can’t tell what they’re singing.

Nice job, Gokester! Just keep Pastor Rolex away from them, mmm-kay?

Spread the word. Do it.

Oh my gosh…….Here we go again. Lets not pick on people we dont even know. They’re just KIDS! Holy crap…..dont y’all have anything better to do than rag on Gokey all day? I’ve met him several times and each time he was the sweetest thing in the whole world…..Just leave him alone. If u dont have anything nice to say, dont say it! Grow up

There is just no way to make this song appropriate for a bunch of young kids to sing. As far as I can tell they changed it to “It’s quarter after one. I’m all alone and I need you now.” Even with the lyric change it’s an odd and uncomfortable choice for children.

Yeah, if those kids are a little drunk at a quarter after one, someone’s got some serious ‘splaining to do!

That one girl looks like her pants had some sort of tragic bleach accident. It’s distracting me from the rest of the ridiculousness going on in this performance.

Did they sing “it’s past my curfew” instead of “I’m a little drunk”? And no, I did not listen to it and not going to.

Anything involving Gokey is always so tacky – even charity.
