et, I hope you decide to stay for both shows – I’m counting one of these as our canceled Norfolk show from last year, so it really isn’t crazy to stay for them both… right?? we’ll have to see if we can come up with a secret password or something to find each other. One smart thing we did was to splurge on the VIP tickets for Sunday, which sounds exciting… except that we’re at the back of the crowd, but we have SEATS! and SHADE! (hey, it’s Virginia in August. This is exciting news!)

Heh, I’m hopeless. But I like the believe I’m sane. If I’m not sane, don’t tell me, ok? I’ll certainly check back in when I get back and give an update. I think I’m going Saturday night, still deciding (he has a show Sunday too). I’m excited, it’s been a while Going to meet my friend down there and intend to have quite a grand time. I have two little kids, I don’t get out much… they are going to stay with their cousins for five days, I’m going to a Cook show and having some fun, life is goooood! (Husband has finally accepted that Idon’t fling panties so he doesn’t give me a suspicious look, merely a raised eyebrow and stifled laugh)

Also, ppl: not everyone who likes Adam and doesn’t like most of the other Idol music they’ve heard is from Planet Fierce or other fan sites. I have heard about that place, checked it out, didn’t like it. Bad layout and not a fun discussion, from what it looked like.

Again, looking at what Destry wrote, don’t some of you guys think she might be right, even a little bit? I get that I’m an outsider who mainly came here to criticize, so I understand not being receptive to my comments, but she was a regular and she still felt like the place was becoming too much about hating Adam. Doesn’t that tell you something?

And I don’t consider Adam a “rawk god” whatever that means. He’s a pop singer with some rock influences.

Taking over the world? Not yet, lol, but that would be fun.

By the way, I glanced through the post and saw Destry’s post, which I thought was interesting. As much as I thought there were sometimes elements of hypocrisy in people getting upset at my saying I didn’t like Kris’s music when the most common topic of conversation here is how awful Adam is, I could also sort of understand it. I was never really a part of the blog, just a random commenter who came occasionally and was generally negative towards the site. So, I could sort of understand why people wouldn’t react well to that.

But Destry was a regular and well-liked poster, as far as I could tell. And she left because she felt like the site had become too much about hating Adam. As an outsider, that’s what it seemed like to me. Doesn’t it tell you anything that even someone who was truly a part of the site felt the same way?

I don’t go to Planet Fierce. I saw it mentioned elsewhere and checked it out once but the layout alone gave me a headache and idk, looking at the discussion it just wasn’t fun.

Um, I’m not interested in “taking out the male idols”? That sounds very Idol-bubble. They’re not even in the same market as far as I know, and I don’t even know how someone who wanted to would go about doing that, lol.

Wait, I think I might’ve insulted Dave as well. Just to clarify, I love Dave Matthews (sorry TI), especially the Big Whiskey album.

I don’t listen to commercial radio, but my next door neighbor luuuuuuuvs Nickelback, so I’ve gotten to hear a lot of their stuff this summer while we sit out on the patio drin–I mean, discussing life, the universe, and everything. So I feel qualified to discuss Nickelback despite being out of touch with current music.

I kinda sorta can see a reason why they might say Daughtry sounds like them. Sorta. But Cook? I don’t get it. And I’ve listened for it (before the tequila haze got too hazy). Nothin’.

Also do not see the reason for putting Kris beside Mraz, unless the rules of the entertainment universe say you have to compare them to someone. I don’t know of anyone who sounds like Kris.

et, I had no idea you were such a Cook fan. You’ll come back and tell us all about the show this weekend, right? Especially any hints he drops about the new album?
