Scott McIntyre does Jimmy Kimmel again!

American Idol Season 8′s Scott MacIntyre — aka Blind Guy — proves once again he’s a really funny guy.

On last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Show, Scott appeared as much-maligned MLB umpire Jim Joyce. Joyce made the call that blew Detroit Tigers’ pitcher Armando Galarraga’s perfect game against the Cleveland Indians on Wednesday. (Video via MJ’s Big Blog)

This is MacIntyre’s second appearance on a Kimmel skit. You may recall him playing on that “game show” last April (with bonus appearance by Megan Joy).

Somehow it kind of fits MacIntyre might be one of Kimmel’s favorite players. The dude is pretty damn funny and self-deprecating. You know who else loves him? Alice Cooper. MacIntyre performed at Cooper’s annual Christmas Pudding Show in Phoenix last December. Scotty the Body (is that what Seacrest called him? Uh…why?) just seems to be the kind of dude who would be able to hang occasionally with both Alice Cooper and Jimmy Kimmel. And that’s pretty damn cool.

    Parody singing IS his calling. Real singing, not so much. He was very funny.

    That was pretty funny. Not a fan of Scott’s music, or his ego … but the dude has some comedic talents. I can see Jimmy Kimmel having him on again as a semi-regular.

    This was a nice surprise for me last night as I was doing other things, and Jimmy Kimmel was on in the background. I heard “Scott MacIntyre” and started paying attention. I didn’t see his first appearance, so I was shocked that the dude was this funny. Looks like AI deprived us of yet more awesomeness. Instead of devoting half the show to the judges acting like idiots, or showing pointless backstories, we should’ve been getting to know these people.

    When I heard about Scott coming on the show, I was thinking, “Wait, why?”. But this was funny!

    But, yeah, he has to lose the ‘stache. Not a great look. Still, he should do more things like this.
