Jon Hamm talks about the other critically-acclaimed show on AMC — Breaking Bad.

Let’s face it, Bryan Cranston — who has always been incredible — is his biggest competition for an Emmy this year. I plan on watching Breaking Bad this summer as I know I need to watch it, but I’ve always been a big fan of Bryan Cranston. Did you ever see The X-Files episode he did? And the fact he was hilarious on Malcom in the Middle.

But isn’t Jon Hamm a gracious sort? I might be able to watch him do or talk about anything. Have you seen the guy? He makes me say I’m from the Lou and I’m proud with much more emphasis these days.

On yeah, one more thing. Jon Hamm also has a cameo in The A-Team, which I gotta admit, I totally want to see. I loved the show as a kid and now, Murdock is played by one of my favorite new actors, Sharlto Copley. Sharlto Copley from District 9, one of the best movies of the past several years. If you’ve dismissed District 9 for stupid reasons thus far, trust me, you need to see it. And if you don’t shed a few tears at the end, you may as well be made of stone. Yes. It’s a motion picture about aliens that’s not only thought-provoking, but also undoubtedly moving.

Spread the word. Do it.

Just started watching Mad Men the other day. Hot damn. He might just be the sexiest man alive.

When the hell is Mad Men coming back?

mark your calendars benches: Sunday, July 25th. my mouth is watering already for a dirrty draper martini.

I’m not into Breaking Bad anymore as I used to. It transitioned from the dark comedy of season 1 to what it is now – heavy drama. It’s still good tv, mind you, but it’s just different now.

This is OT for everything but did anyone see Scott MacIntyre on Jimmy Kimmel just now? (I NEVER watch that show so I got lucky, lol) He was frakkin hilarious! They did a skit where Scott was dressed as MLB umpire Jim Joyce (who blew the call that deprived Tigers’ pitcher Armando Galarraga of the perfect game)…Scott sang a song about how he missed the call b/c he “didn’t see the ball”. He has great comedic timing. Hats off to Scotty :) !

Jon Hamm could talk about fungus and I would watch. That is all.

his voice on the Mercedes commercial has the same effect.

Me too. In my opinion, he is the most attractive man on tv. His voice is like butta. It’s a bonus that Mad Men is such a good show, I would watch it even if it sucked.

It almost seems criminal for someone to be that good-looking, that charming…and with the voice. How is it even possible?

Did you guys see Ellen when he was on last week? She showed pictures of him when he was in high school. He looked like a freakin model for God’s sake!

  • CayKat

Great – Breaking Bad – yet ANOTHER damn show I need to watch.

Confession time: I totally loooved Murdock in the original A-Team. And then finding out that Sharlto was playing this character in the movie…and after the triumph of District 9? That’s too much for a girl to take.

Oh, the last shot of D9…ohh, ::cries::

I was out with some friends last weekend and they had not seen it. I told them they had to, as its one of the most honestly moving films I’ve seen in forever. They were sort of dumbfounded. Then a bartender heard us talking and backed me up.

They’re making a sequel. I want to believe it takes place…3 years later.

      • CayKat

        :-) me too

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! A difficult work day, squabbling family members, bad weather, all made to seem like annoying tiny mosquitoes buzzing in my ear once I saw you posted about Jon Hamm.. Ahh..

I love Mad Men, I love Breaking Bad. And I love John Hamm. Unfortunately, none of my friends watch these shows; they’re all into Glee, which I introduced to them. So, I’m the culprit but I didn’t ask them to be obsessed about it. Oh, I don’t watch Glee anymore; it lost it’s novelty.

If I never saw Mad Men and Breaking Bad in a single article, I would never have the urge to post. The only show missing here is the Good Wife.

I love Breaking Bad! This season in particular has had some episodes that are so suspenseful they’ve made me physically uncomfortable and I’ve caught myself shouting at the tv. Bryan Cranston is excellent (you won’t believe this is the same person who played “Hal”), as is Aaron Paul. It’s definitely worth checking out.

On a shallow note, Jon Hamm is sooooo attractive.

  • Dickory Dock

I had to watch it twice. The first time I was too lulled by his voice, blue eyes, and smile to actually understand the words.

Thank you. :) I LOVEEE District 9. I love Copley.
