Thanks for the great recap. If you’re going to hell, I’m going with you because that comment made me spit coffee all over my screen. My favorites from last night are Crystal, Lilly, Didi, Andrew and Mike. Kara should be thrown off the judging panel for comparing Andrew to Adam instead of Kris or Cook.

First, totally agree with Kathy on Casey. He sounded good to me, but I can’t get past the desperate ploy for attention by taking his shirt off. Euugh. I’m kind of loving the ugly girls. That sounds mean. By ugly, I mean the ones with bad hair and teeth: Lilly and Crystal. Janell and Didi are the traditional beauties in this group, you know? I liked Janell more that Didi. Didi was ok, but I think her nervous basketcase act is just an act. I don’t know. Something bugs. I liked Big Mike, too, partly because he actually calls himself “Big Mike”. Not feeling Katie Stevens or Mary Powers at all.

Side note: I thought it was a wee bit peculiar Kara praised Andrew by comparing him to Adam Lambert, when really, the dude’s entire stripped-down vibe is much closer to Kris Allen. But as several of you pointed out to me on Twitter last night, Mr. Lambert did perform Cher’s ”Believe” as an angsty ballad in Hollywood Week last year, so perhaps that’s what Kara (who seemed to be far less annoying than usual tonight) was getting at?]

If that’s the case….it’s a stretch. Who remembers what the S8 contestants did in Hollywood last year? (when it would have been so much easier to make a Kris comparison since he did that shit week after week after week on the show) I think Kara just wanted to be the first one to mention Adam, whether it made sense or not.
