Pearl Cream downloaded Adam Lambert’s For Your Entertainment…because Amazon offered it to him for $1. He informs me of this before Lambert sings on Conan O’Brien. We’re sitting in my living room, snacking and smoking the occasional cigarette. It’s just like old times, when he lived down the street. Oskar is meandering about. I’m drinking water. Pearl Cream is sipping grape juice and sake.
Me: Did you listen to it?
Pearl Cream: No.
Adam Lambert begins to sing Whataya Want From Me on Conan O’Brien. Hey, I actually really like this song so I’m down.
Pearl Cream: He does have a unique voice. I’m glad its getting recognized. I like that his album cover looks like a Glamour Shot. It’s like, look at me I’m pretty. Like Ella Fitzgerald. Or Billie Holiday. Or Josephine Baker. Which one?
Me: Josephine Baker, she danced with the bananas.
Pearl Cream: No, the black jazz singer with the big flower over her hear.
Me: Carmen Miranda?
Pearl Cream: No! Not Carmen Miranda. She danced with fruit on her head. (Searching computer) Not Ella Fitzgerald.
Me: I know. And its not Nina Simone.
Pearl Cream: YES! Billie Holiday! See? (Shows me his Macbook.) It’s like a Glamour Shot. (Positions hand under chin, a la Billie Holiday/Adam Lambert.)
Pearl Cream then goes to look at the For Your Entertainment cover.
Pearl Cream: OHHHHH! That’s his HAND! I thought it was a flower.
Me: I showed you Oskar. He has…a hand…a furry hand.
Pearl Cream: He has a paw?
Me: No. He has a hand…not a paw. And a furry arm. (Shows him Unravel’s incredible Oskar Fur Your Entertainment shot again.)
Pearl Cream and I then laugh hysterically for at least 60 seconds.
While I’m finishing up this post, Jimmy Fallon makes a 2 Girls 1 Cup joke. Pearl Cream says he’s never seen it.
Me: Look it up if you haven’t seen it.
Pearl Cream: But isn’t it fake? It’s like two girls pooping in a cup, right?
Me: Well…there’s more to it than that. There’s more than just two girls simply crapping into a single cup. Some guy in Brazil makes them…he says they sometimes fake it, add more to the, uh, scene.
Pearl Cream: Like what?
Me: Chocolate soft serve
Pearl Cream looks at me with a quasi-shocked face. Goes to find it online. He actually does so rather quickly.
Pearl Cream: (upon seeing a still) It looks like ice cream. (the video starts) Whatever. They just shot ice cream up their butt. Grody.

The whole “quiet dignity” is pretty much verbatim to what I wrote on another blog somewhere. This guy has put up with a lot of crap and I have been waiting for the day when people take notice and say enough is enough. Give this kid a G D break. One voice at a time. I suppose. But I can’t help, but say, hurry the eff up about it.
I can understand you like his music and singing, but to say he is SEXY and hot is…um….crazy IMO. Sexy in what way? Be specific. Sexy in a feminine way?
His eyes are full of guyliner and his skin is really bad. I am sure under his clothes he is extremely pale and full of freckles. He doesn’t appear to have a nice body. His best photos are those that are photoshoped.

Was channel-surfing sunday night and came across Handel’s Messiah Rocks! on PBS. One guy cuaght my attention. His name is MiG Ayesa, I believe that is the spelling. I found out he was on ROCKSTAR/INXS in 2006, came in third. The similarities between him and Lambert performance-wise was very interesting. Do you recall Adam’s Slow Ride black&white striped pants? Mig wore them first? Do you recall Adam’s Bohemian Rhapsody? Mig sang it first in a televised singing competition. Mig performed first with Queen, singing right along side Brian May in the production of We Will Rock You. Listening to a interview I found on Youtube, Mig seemed like a very humble person, introspective. When he spoke about QUEEN’s music, he called it theatrical, OTT and flamboyant and said they were a “different” type of rock. He gets it. Just for that I LOVE Mig!
I don’t know too much about Mig’s success as a rocker or his album sales, even though he has much more of a rocker voice than Adam. It did strike me that he is again performing in a stage production. I personally believe Adam belongs in theatre than in the pop world. I think he’ll maintain a career with the help of his fans, similar to Clay Aiken for a time. After that, I think it will be back to theatre. It’s not a lack of talent because Adam can sing. For me it’s a matter of where that VOICE/TALENT fits. If that makes me a hater so be it.
I can’t even begin to understand the depths of the crazy in the IDOL world. It’s really kinda sad, sad shit. I mean, why record yourself singing so so friggin’ badly and then plucking lint from your shirt mid-mumbling? I noticed the plaid shirt right away, which surprised me because most glamberts’ heads spin around on their neck and spew peasoup when in the vicinity of plaid and/or converse sneakers. Their aversion to it has been well-documented all across the net and twitter.
All of this would be funny, if it wasn’t so fucking sad. Hangs head, walks away.

I went to the barricades at the VIP entrance of Madison Sq Garden on Friday night. I haven’t had much time to post but there are a few points I’d like to mention.
Kris must have been early to sound check as while we were waiting for others to arrive, he came out from inside with a few guys to get something to eat. He walked right down the path of the barricades (2 sides) and no one even paid any attention to him. Someone near me said “there’s Kris” but no one broke from their conversation. When he came back a couple of people asked for pictures and autographs but no fuss was made.
Jordin Sparks is a total sweetheart. Even in the 20 degree weather she took a picture with anyone that asked for it. She was very bubbly and even though dressed improperly to stand in the cold, smiled for everyone. Eventually she said that she had to go as the cold was not good for her voice. (It was biting cold.)
Adam got big screams but by the time he showed up there wasn’t much of a crowd. He showed up after 8pm for a 7:30 concert. He barely stopped and just did not seem to be himself that night.
I did not see Allison. It didn’t matter. I was there for Adam.

Why am I not surprised? I remember them freaking out on MJ’s a few months ago when David Cook made some comment about how you won’t find a bunch of flash and glitter at his concerts, and they took it as a slam against Adam.

That boggles the mind to me also. Adam is gay and you can tell Adam wouldn’t touch any female parts with a ten foot pole. As a gay person I can tell you most gay guys who wear that much make-up and dye their hair tend to be on the more feminine side in our community. Even if they say they are “tops” what he probably meant is he rides on top. Like women who like to ride on top. For women to find him sexually attractive is just so weird to many of us gay guys. I’m an old fashioned kinda gal. I like my women to be busty and feminine and my men to be masculine/jock types.
I like Adam’s campy vibe. His ‘sexiness’ is a put on . I never took it to be ‘real’, more of an act. When he’s relaxed, not performance mode and wearing make up, I could see Adam appealing to guys who are into the sweet, nice guy with a bit of a snarky side.
There are certain type of straight women who are sexually attracted to gay men like Adam. Some of these women are the types who get mocked in the gay community for being fag hags (not in the nice connotation of ‘friend of dorothy’ but in the ‘desperate, sad, so pathetic that they fantasize about their gay male friends definition of fag hag).
Could it be they know they don’t have to compete with other women? Makes it more tolerable for them to see him with a guy rather than a woman? And just maybe they could be the one that wins him one day …
I mean slash in fanfiction is rampant among female writers and readers. It takes the buddy theme to a whole other level. Their favorite male TV character hooks up with another male favorite character whether on that particular show or another. You’ve got AUs and Crossover fics. The fanfiction world is amazing in itself and then adding IDOL to the mix is beyond words.
You may have a point there, I am virtually straight female but have some lesbian tendencies and a coupla drunken episodes under my belt. But I cannot speak for the whole population of Lambert fans. Sexuality is a complex issue. I have read that there is a degree of homosexuality in all folks. In some it will be 00000.00001%, in others 99.99% and for others anything in between. Adam once said “Sexy is sexy” meaning that if you have sexual appeal it will be appreciated no matter which way your own sexual orientation swings, and that is my view too.
To me Adam is physically appealing, big eyes, wide smile, nice teeth, tall, nicely built, seemingly well-endowed – and with such a sense of fun about him. And let us not forget – wickedly talented. He has his physical imperfections but most women are notorious for forgiving these minor points in their loved ones.
I find Adam sexy. Not (never in fact) in the fantasising-about-him-in-the-crucial-moment kind of way. Just in the way that when my favourite girlfriend comes round who is dressed to kill, full of fun, just wants to dance and I just want to hug her for her liveliness kind of way. I don’t want to go THERE with her, but it is sexy, fun and enlivening to have her around nonetheless. As is with Adam.
When is Allison going to be on Kimmel? I though it would have happened by now.

(How would Adam feel if he was asked several questions about Kris in EVERY interview? Think he might tire of it?) The hateful responses in the People article and the YT video are so uncalled for. Kris is a good guy. He has nothing to gain by slamming Adam( which BTW, he didn’t) , b/c get this CRAZY GLAMBERTS, the show is OVER. Adam is doing FINE, it matters no more what any other AI8 contestant says or doesn’t say about him. Give it up.

I was just being snarky. As in, the Glamberts are slowly running through all the other Idol contestants with their batshit about not kowtowing to Adam, and given who hasn’t been attacked, Anoop could be next. I had no idea about Sarver kissing Adam’s ass. Seems like a nice guy, but needy. Typical East Texas momma’s boy, my guess.
Let the crazies run their course. In the process of drilling Adam’s career into the ground, a lot of people will begin to see the light and walk away from that mess. You’ll have a lot less susceptible people in the end. They aren’t taken seriously, except the idiots with the repeated threats. When the cops shows up at their door they’ll learn about real life vs “the internets.”
The thing that bugs me is Adam’s behavior in all this. With some guidance he could do a lot to curtail their behavior without hurting his career – and do it better than Cook did. From his past actions though, I tend to believe he just thinks this is a laugh, and doesn’t get how much trouble they cause other people. He just comes across so shallow it’s mind boggling.

I bought my cat a catnip tiger and she’s been writhing around on the floor with it for some time now! It was hilarious at first, but now I feel as if I need to leave them alone together. I also rented season 1 & 2 of MadMen, and “acquired” Season 3 as well. Now it’s going to drive me crazy for weeks on end!!! I can’t believe he fired Sal! Sal is too awesome, they will have to bring him back somehow. Betty is annoying, I can’t decide if I feel bad for her or not. Ok. I got another one for you. Have you read any Stieg Larsson? Picked up his first book by chance last week. I bought the sequel 2 days later. Hardback. I am going to get the third when I go to Europe next month b/c it doesn’t get released here until May.
I’m not into “bestseller suspense/mysteries”, the kind my mom reads, I guess, but this is different. It was originally in Swedish. The two main characters whom the Millennium Series are centered around are incredible. Rumors are circulating that they’re going to make a US adaptation with Pitt or Clooney, but who knows. I think it works better in Sweden. (The Swedish adaptation is released over here in March)
The only bad part is that Larsson died suddenly after giving all of these to a publisher (But look him up. Very interesting story). He was a journalist who wrote these at night to “de-stress”. You cannot put these books down. So guy buy The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (although the original Swedish title was better, it translates to Men Who Hate Women)
Scandinavians do mystery and suspense really well. Well, Scandinavians and the Spanish. I read little bit of everything, but I tend towards those for Mystery. Most recently Henning Mankell.
Have heard of Larsson, but not read him. Will check them out.

Sometimes, I do get a kick out of “My Big Fat Redneck Wedding”. Discovered it one day awhile back channel surfing. The older white trash couples are always infinitely more endearing, especially when the bride gets excited that she can pick up her wedding gown she found on Craigslist by meeting the seller at a Wendy’s and THEN being equally as pumped because there are “pockets for her smokes.”

Don’t know enough about Tom Arnold to know why he would have pissed everyone off, but this film sounds a riot. How observant of the bride to notice pockets for her smokes – it’s beautiful when romance and practicality combine.

Could be cos Adam is quite into astrology – the glyphs are the official astrological symbols of planets and star signs used to calculate personal horoscopes. Adam would be well up on all that – coming from planet Fierce

I am very curious as to who decided to use OSKAR’S PHOTO in order to troll AO. I do not have a login to any of those “official” sites (the ones with the terrible user interface), so I’m just curious about who the hell this person is.
Oskar loves to cause trouble, but he can’t be bothered with such trifling activities. He’s busy with his two girlfriends in Majorca right now and will then be heading to Monte Carlo for New Year’s Eve.

Fans were speculating it was a hater from VFTW. I suspect we will never know. Which is a shame – as far as trolls go – he is one of the sharpest and funniest. Until he gets too obviously rude then everyone freezes him out and clicks the report as offensive button – spoils the fun a bit.
