This is more of a public service announcement than anything else. Perhaps you’ve been over to the uh, colorful David Cook Uncensored board. I once had access, but then I was banned. Boo hoo. Yeah…I lurk on some boards, especially when I’m “invited”. Eh, why not?

I think only 10 people post on this board, but its moderator “Holly”, claims it to be VERY popular and GROWING EVERY DAY. She posted the URL on many sites/blogs, including this one. Holly claims to be an ad executive in NYC. She also claims to be CLASSY, my age (32) and uber-successful, oh, did I mention she used to work for Sony? And she even has a law degree! Yeah. It’s all a bunch of horseshit. And 80% of the posters on this board are “Holly” — I call her Holly Sockpuppets. And so should you.

This is the CLASSY Holly. Or so she claims.

Holly Sockpuppets has outed any girl seen with David Cook, gotten access to their personal web accounts and sent their photos to any gossip site which would actually bite. (I highly suspect she was the one who reported the “Cook & A Cougar” story to Page 6, just as she sent the photos of Cook and another friend, to other blogs.) She has ATTACKED the character of these women not just in her board’s sick “Girlfriends & Other Acquaintances” thread, but anywhere else. Hell, Google Cook’s former girlfriend Kimberly Caldwell and you will find her in action all over the internet, posting on anything mentioning Ms. Caldwell. She calls her every name out there, she still does. She has done this to any woman Cook is seen with. It’s harassment, plain and simple.

Holly Sockpuppets’ many sockpuppets fawn all over her. They talk about how CLASSY she is and how HOT she is. They also all misspell the word damn by dropping the n. They write short, choppy sentences. They basically trash not only the women, but also Cook, claiming he is losing fans by dating these “whores” — in actuality, they know nothing about these women. And there are 2-3 women I know and know of personally who had their entire name and character dragged through the mud. They didn’t deserve it, and they aren’t whores. They’re sweet, decent people who just had the misfortune of being targeted by a truly psychotic Idol fan…one who has been around for a very long time.

Before Holly Sockpuppets fantarded over David Cook, she also was obsessed with Clay Aiken and Mr. Walking VD himself, Constantine Maroulis. She was stupid enough to believe Clay Aiken was dating his close friend and fellow Season 2 contestant, Kimberley Locke, going as far as making horrific, racist comments on Clay boards (including the one she started, Red Hot Topic) and blogs about Ms. Locke. Sick, right? How is this not harassment? Especially once she became obsessed with Greasy Constantine Maroulis. Once upon a time, Constantine was able to date a few women WAY out of his league (granted, that’s most women, but…), including Los Angeles-based model Kristen Zang. Ms. Zang was harassed by Holly Sockpuppets (who used her real name at this time, Maryann, or the handle ILuvConstantine) via MySpace.

All of Holly Sockpuppets fantard incarnations also have a sister or BFF named JO. On DCU, there is ModeratorJO and on previous boards, it was her sister, JoJo. Whenever Holly Sockpuppets is about to get busted, she has to go out of town for work and Jo informs the rest of the board that she is out-of-town, being all blond, classy and successful on a glamorous business trip where she brings her laptop.

(BTW, Holly Sockpuppets caused a bit of trouble over on David-Cook.org posting as FanForLife. Naturally, she is 32…and DAM CLASSY, I assume.)

This is the REAL Holly Sockpuppets. She does not live in NYC. She lives in Pennsylvania. She is an executive assistant or admin at a drug company. She is not in advertising, which I quickly figured after a few bizarre email exchanges I had with this woman. She is not 32. She does not live in NYC. Holly Sockpuppets is really Maryann, a fifty-something woman who gets her kicks off obsessing over male Idol contestants half her age and destroying the reputations of every women these men are seen with.

There is so much more about this woman and frankly, if you have spent any time on my blog you will see that while I do sometimes post photos of fans or report on the unsavory activities of the batshit crazies, I am not one for posting names or making unfair accusations against people. But this woman bothers me. Her single-minded determination to destroy the lives of women she knows nothing about via a seemingly endless number of “personalities” disgusts me. She’s not an overzealous fan. She exhibits behavior which can only be classified as sick & twisted. I posted this because I’m tired of seeing this women hurt people. Her gig is up. The few people on this DCU board who ARE NOT her sockpuppets are starting to catch on. Holly Sockpuppets / Maryann has personally harassed friends of mine, going as far as to even contact their employers. She is relentless. It’s rather frightening. It’s much more than wearing ugly puffy paint t-shirts or making names for some guy’s body parts.

While I am sure there are many Cook fans out there who hate me and hate my blog, that’s fine. But if you’ve had any experiences with this woman you wish to discuss (I’ve seen fights she’s had with people on a few other boards before being kicked out.), PLEASE DO. I’ve made this post so we can open up some discussion. This woman has gotten away with too much for too long and while I doubt this will prevent her from obsessing over another Idol contestant and fabricating 100 other CLASSY BLOND SUCCESSFUL FORMER MUSIC INDUSTRY / PR / ADVERTISING PROFESSIONALS AGES 30-33. Bring your posts. Bring your stories. There is enough evidence out there to prove her “enemies” are not full of shit. I’ve simply made this post to start a conversation. If I posted all of her interweb droppings, I would spend the next two days copying and pasting.

So whatevia. This post isn’t harassment. It’s a public service announcement of sorts. Call me a bitch and a hater and a hypocrite (and homophobe, of course!) and whatever you want. I just don’t like seeing innocent people being dragged through the mud. Sure, I may laugh at batshit crazy Idol fans. I may often enjoy making fun of them. I may be pals with the “evil Idletard” and VFTW. But when it comes down to it, I just want to call out the behavior of someone who has hurt or attempted to ruin the lives of people she doesn’t even know for a very long time. Sure, we can almost say anything we want on the internet, can’t we? And everyone has an opinion. Not everyone is right. Not everyone is nice. We can all post under anonymous names and we don’t always know who the person we’re talking to really is. I may call people out on stupid fantard shit from time to time and that’s one thing. I’m not trying to destroy anyone’s life or harass someone I’ve never met for my own kicks.

No one is interested in Andrew so no he is not be attacked he is being discussed and David’s brother wants to be famous.

2. David’s parents divorce is a public report but Holly has asked for members not to discuss it anymore. Someone found it on a website, not Holly. Holly never participated in any discussion nor did she allow it.

The only thing talked about was that David’s mother cheated. That is the only thing that came out of it.

Holly doesn’t allow talk of personal info on her board. There is a difference. She can’t read every single post. Maybe she missed it. And the entire board has tons of good threads. There is only a small section on the board that talks about his choice of girls. What is wrong with that?

I was discreet about it because it is NOBODY’s business who his friends were/are. And for Mary Ann to come on here and say her name, and then say she is liked on that board, is utter bullshit. Holly posted some new rules this morning!! She’s flexing her ‘muscle’ and still misspelling words. What struck me the most in the new rules is she has disallowed discussion of David’s mother’s divorce and David’s friend’s ‘supposed’ divorce. Gee, wonder why she did that? Could she have felt pressured by all of the fallout of the discussion here?

She also went on and on for days about how shocked she was to see what happened while she was ‘out of town’ on her ‘business trip’. I guess business means that she spends every waking hour working out her stable of sockpuppets, because they were in full force last week and over the weekend. Funny, because they all appear for a posting session, where they cause trouble and stir the pot just to create controversy, gossip and most of all, more posts, and then they all disappear at the same time for a rest in the stable. God, I cannot believe that she actually believes that she is fooling anyone with her antics! Dumb bitch.

Oh, and she has required anyone who hasn’t posted to either post in the next 10 days or get banned(wtf?)and has said proxies will not be allowed.

This is a complete guess, but from what I can tell, at least 10% of the 1800 members are sockpuppets. I tell you, she has a stable full of them to use at any given time. I would also venture to guess that a big chunk of the 1800 is inactive or they are lurkers. I would say there are less than 50 who post regularly.

my tech master sent me here to do some chatting with fellow board owners. i was head organizer (we dont call them mods) for redhottopic since day one, (around 5 years ago. we started out a different board on ezboards) i actually took over running the whole shebang for the last couple of years, total ownership last jan.

we started out as an american idol site, but clay aiken fans took over, and that is what we basically are right now, a clay aiken message board. (we have become much more then that…we really are a close community of friends!) we have a couple of sub groups within our site though, and getting ready to branch out to other idol’s again here soon. let me go pull our latest stats. 641,224 posts with 14,767 members.

we had been hosted on invision with a private server for the first 4 years, but after their techs reallly screwed up our data base after they forgot they had dome some special modifications for us when we first started…i found a new tech that has been taking care of us since my formal take over last jan. he pulled us out of the fire, and even hosts us now on his own server cluster. (saved a hell of a lot of money then too!) we purposely went smaller with our activity level at that time, but are getting ready to push big again. really looking forward in gleaning some info from other board owners here.

i am really looking forward to the pushes for new bells and whistles to give us a tech edge from the other aiken message boards. (and trust me when i say they are a pretty vocal and strong force when it comes to fan boards period.)

Sadly, I actually remember this happening. A woman who works at the store and was apparently a big fan of his, returned to work after being off for a couple of days, and was told he had been in the day before. She tweeted once about her bad luck in missing him. Then later the same day, she tweeted that she had just talked to him on the phone when he called back to change the delivery time. It seemed like she was just an excited fan who didn’t mean any harm, and probably had no idea how batshit crazy some of David’s fans are. I remember seeing the tweet (I have no idea HOW I saw it, now that I think about it, but I did) and thinking, “Oh, sweetie, you shouldn’t have done that. You have no idea what you are in for”. And it appears that at least crazy Maryann/Holly or whoever she wants to call herself did call and pump her for information. Sad.

I have lurked on that board and the only really funny thing is how wrong Maryann/Holly’s “inside” info really is. When David bought a house in the Kansas City area, she announced that he had bought a house in a gated community near Branson (which is in the Ozarks of southwestern Missouri, a good four hour drive from where his house actually is). She also argued with someone (herself, maybe?) who correctly mentioned that David’s father lived in Indianapolis. She said he lived in Kentucky. She also did not seem to know that David and his late older brother Adam had the same father, but different mothers. All of these things, much like who he dates, are not really anyone’s business, but things that someone even slightly interested in David could have easily known from interviews he himself has given. Anyone who believes this “moran” has inside information is as crazy as she is.

I do want to say, though, that I have been persuaded by some of the comments posted here. I’ve lurked over there for quite a while because I saw it as humorous in a pathetic, but harmless kind of way. No more, though. I just go there every once in awhile to see what they’re talking about so it’s not like I’m going to fall apart if the board falls down. I just believe in people being able to speak their minds even if they say something people don’t want to hear. It’s one of the great principles this country was founded upon.

Anyone could google Beth’s and her husband’s name together and get that divorce info. It was put on the web long before David went on Idol. You’d think David’s parents would do something about it, like ask the court to take it down or have it sealed. I’m sure they know about it being there. Most court documents are public records unless they are sealed but they arent all online.

No I’m fairly certain that story was concocted by one of Holly’s minions who posted it on the board claiming she had heard it verbally from one of the bunnies. She then stated she was posting it to make sure everyone knew it was a lie even though no one had heard said story except for when she posted. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but if I remember right anyone who was brave enough to confess they were associated with the bunnies repeated denying that story.

However, Holly was calling the store to determine if he could or could not have been with the woman that supposedly was made up by the bunnies but never heard of until the person who knew it was a lie reported it. See how genuinely fucked up this crap is?

It definitely wasn’t Holly who started that story. It was someone who wanted people to think David was having a real relationship with a “nice” nurse because she hated it that he was being associated with “skanks” on the board. Someone who makes up stories.

I wouldn’t do it, but I don’t think calling a store to see what time David was there to try to verify a story that turned out to be a lie is so terrible. It’s not like calling someone at their home. If you went to the same store in person after you had read that David was there, and said “I heard David Cook was here in your store Monday afternoon. That’s so cool!” it would be perfectly fine.

There are a lot of women doing detective work on anything and everything they can find concerning David. I see what some of them have done in searching for things and I’m just blown away but there’s nothing I can do about it except think their obsession is out of control. It’s not just Holly. A lot of David’s fans are not well, same as with every celebrity. You need to point your fingers in many directions at stalkers and overzealous fans. There are all those women on the road at every show, one person I know of who tweets David a few hundred times a day with outrageous stuff, and they aren’t on DCU. These people are everywhere.

You can’t protect him from the crazies anymore than Holly or anyone else can protect him from himself.

Any time I read bout this I laugh cause she’s as real as real can be. Met her when Dave came home in June. You ladies who don’t believe he hooked up with Kim Johnston and think Holly made up that whole story and called the Post and the tabloids are delusional. Maryann/Holly was thoroughly convinced that David was seeing someone in some town in northern Missouri on a particular date between shows. Some posters provided a timeline showing that it was impossible because he was on a flight into KC and picked up by his brother and then was seen buying furniture at some store early the next morning. So what did the nosy freak do? Maryanne called the furniture store to see what time David was there. If that isn’t stalking, I don’t know what is.

I lurk on that messageboard as do many others. I don’t post. I don’t share Maryann’s strange fascination with David’s every move. Instead I like studying the sexually obsessed women who post over there. They provide entertainment and good material for psychological studies.

Wow, some of this stuff about MaryAnn/Holly having many heads is probably true. I don’t believe she has a law degree, ad exec, or a PR job, or ever worked in music promotion, or that she works in NY.

BUT, it’s unlikely that a 53 year old would have a resume with practically nothing on it and the education timeline doesn’t appear to match someone that old.
