Some Glamberts think Adam Lambert is integral part of mystery on ABC's Flash Forward

I need to catch Flash Forward. I’ve heard great things about it and I’m a sucker for good sci-fi. It seems to be one of the most well-received new shows of the network’s fall schedules.

Leave it to the rabid Adam Lambert fans to try to make it all about, well, Adam Lambert. Because they can make ANYTHING about, uh, Adam Lambert. Hell, did you know that on Monday, President Obama is gonna announce Lambert as this nation’s first ever Secretary of Glam Fierceness? (Yeah. Tyra Banks is SUPER pissed upon discovering she was no longer under consideration for this key cabinet position in the Obama Administration.)

You see, because this song used Mad World in their previews over the summer and some shadowy figured dressed in black kind of resembles him, the Glamberts are convinced Adam Lambert might be this person and his alleged appearance on the show is meant to GAIN MORE VIEWERS.

***UPDATED WITH TRAILER – MAD WORLD COMES IN AT 1:53*** This is one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever seen! Thanks to our friend Ofra for finding this on youtube and bringing it to our attention. It’s the closing minute of yesterday’s premiere episode of the new TV show Flash Forward. Yep, the same show that used “Mad World” in its promos over the summer. Watch the very end of the video, and you tell me, does the mysterious figure look familiar? It’s a very fuzzy shot, but some people think it’s Adam. People commenting on youtube are split – some say it is him, some say it isn’t. I have to say, the more I replay the video, the more it does look like Adam to me.

I didn’t see the show yesterday, but it was rerun tonight, and I watched it. It’s a strange Lost-esque kind of sci-fi show revolving around the mystery of why everyone in the world blacks out for 2 minutes and 17 seconds and sees a glimpse into their future life during those moments. The mysterious Adam-figure is caught by surveillance cameras walking around during the exact time everyone else on the planet has blacked out.

So what is going on here? I don’t mean with the plot of the show, but with us thinking we see Adam. Do we have Adam so much on the brain that we see him when he really isn’t there? I’m reminded of those word puzzles where all the vowels are removed from words, and yet we can still read the words and know their meaning. When the mind sees a blank spot, it fills it in with what we expect to see. Is that what’s happening to us?

Or is it really Adam, filmed in his short scene by the TV producers in order to tease and tantalize us into watching more episodes of the show?

What do YOU think? The facial features are fuzzy, but the general shape of the head is Adam’s. The hair is Adam’s, and the coat looks like Adam’s long Mad World coat (remember the Mad World vocals in the promos – the puzzle pieces seem to fit!).

I think it’s Adam. I see some savvy TV people cashing in on Adam’s popularity to get ratings. Cast your vote below – yes, it’s him or not it’s not, and tell us why!

~~Jeanette, Glamb #5

You people are insane. Do you have any idea when the pilot for Flash Forward was probably shot? Most likely during the time Lambert was on Idol. When he was appearing on American Idol and under contract by FOX. Plus, why the hell would an anxiously-awaited, big-budget TV show (developed by the producers of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight) featuring a notable cast and surrounded by promising buzz need an AMERICAN IDOL CONTESTANT to bring in the viewers. Secondly, shut the hell up about Mad World.

No, really. Shut the hell up about Mad World. Yes, this preview used Lambert’s version of the song, however, this promo appeared on iTunes — not on ABC. It may have been easier to secure the licensing for a limited-use promo with a song licensed only by iTunes. While the Andrews/Jules version is also available on iTunes, licensing this version would have been much more difficult. (For instance, when you see any film trailer, does the music ever sound familiar? Probably. This is because studios often use another film’s score as a soundtrack for a film’s trailer because the film’s score has yet to be complete.)

Mad World is not an Adam Lambert song. Adam Lambert covered it on American Idol. Besides the perfunctory release on iTunes, Adam Lambert’s Mad World was not released as a single. Mad World is originally a Tears for Fears song. Adam’s version is not an original take on it. It’s a cover of the stripped-down, Michael Andrews and Gary Jules rendition, which a memorable part of the 2001 film, Donnie Darko. I thought this was widely known and understood by now, no?

Anyway, Many Glamberts are quivering in their glitter panties, speculating about Lambert’s involvement with Flash Forward and how it appears he is an INTEGRAL part of the show’s core mystery, of which there is ZERO evidence except for a guy with emo hair wearing a black trenchcoat. (I also would bet $50 that I could find some idiot talking about how this must mean Lambert is going to be cast in the third of Christopher Nolan’s Batman films.) Because Adam Lambert is the first guy to walk around with uber-styled hair in all black and a long black trench, right?

Holy Goosebumps! It’s a Adam, hold your breath moment! This is so freaky.
They totally copied Adam’s artistry & look! What a compliment, and everybody is calling my house, and asking me , if this could be Adam?? They all know I am a big Adam Lambert follower.
This is very spooky!

Seriously, people. The tour is barely over and you guys can’t handle waiting for his single and album, can you? Oh no. Of course not. I mean, because Adam Lambert is the most talented person in the world so there is no way all of the earth’s citizens can survive the cold, dark, long wait until November 24th [Lambert's debut LP's release date].

I DIDNT REALLY NOTICE THE FIRST TIME I LOOKED AT IT, THEN WHEN IT WAS MENTIONED
I LOOKED AT THE SHOW AGAIN, AND…. I DO THINK IT IS HIM!! HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE IF IT IS, THIS SHOW DID GREAT IN THE RATINGS , BEATING THE OTHER NETWORKS, I THINK IT IS BECAUSE WE ALL THOUGHT THEY WERE GOING TO PLAY “MAD WORLD” BUT THEY DIDNT!!

Guess what? I, too, can Flash Forward to the future with a prediction of my own — you people will STILL be batshit crazy.

Spread the word. Do it.

WTF. OF COURSE. I forgot every time someone uses a song of an artist in a tv show it automatically means they are going to be on the show somehow!

    Damn. I forgot about that.

This is one of the many reasons I don’t frequent Adam boards or anything Adam. The fans kill him for me. And they’ll kill the rest of the world of liking Adam too with their defensiveness.

I’m sure they can speculate all they want to, but really? Isn’t there better things to speculate about?

    • Trish

Is there? If there is let me know. I don’t know. Been lost in “Adam World” since Feb or so. I need help……nah! ;)

  • Claire

I’ve lost count of how many times Top Idol has stated that she thinks that SOME, not ALL, of Adam’s fans can be crazy.

As far as putting Adam’s name in articles to get hits, why is this so shocking? A blogger who primarily blogs about AI writes about someone who was a contestant on, you guessed it, AI. What’s the big deal?

    • Trish

I am lost………..damn gotta get my glitter out of my eyes and then maybe………..ok good now.

  • http://adam-lambert.org theresa/canada

First of all, we are a group of international fans and supporters of Adam. Secondly we are run by a devoted group of well educated and intelligent volunteeers. And thirdly we admire Adam for the great all-round person he is. We think his talent is superb and we are not shy abut saying so, but we are not crazed.

WE do not waste time on negativity and no ‘bashing’ of any kind is allowed on our site. People all around the world can like/dislike anyone they wish to. No one is being forced to follow Adam or buy his music.

What is the/your problem? There have been followers and fansites for every sort of entertainer over the years. The only difference now is that with technology we are able to communicate more easily. Kate’s second paragraph says it all.

    Peace!

  • Lucy

You know with all the crap going on in this world lately, it’s nice to have someone that people are excited about. Adam brings a positive energy back in my life I have not had in years. Yes, maybe my life was a little lacking, but still. I just seem to look at things without getting so stressed out. He is a positive person and seems to have such a positive outlook on life. He has affected many people this way.

I wouldn’t use the terms “crazy” or “cult” to describe most of his fans. I would find them to be dedicated and determined to make sure Adam gets as much support as he needs to be famous. His talent speaks for itself, but the support is still required. I find it disheartening that people have to bash him or reporters have to shed any type of negative light on him or his fans. So what if they thought it looked like him at the end of Flash Forward. It’s actually kind of funny if you think about it. What was the harm? Absolutely none.

I just wish people who don’t like him or his fans would just avoid all of it all together. I mean, I’m not a fan of a lot of stars, but I don’t go trolling around their websites or look for articles on them and say negative things about them. I think most reporters simply put Adam’s name in their articles to get hits on their websites. Many articles have been posted about that. That is obviously what the author of this site is doing.

I guess my bottom line is if you don’t like Adam, good. Move on and get a life. Focus on something else.

    Your jealousies are showing kids!

    • Trish

“Jealousies”? Really? Wow, your grammar or lack of it is showing.

      • TopIdol

Trish, you’re free to call people asshats, but you can’t insult another poster’s grammar when you’ve used “your” incorrectly about 10x in your previous comments.

        • Trish

Dang your right. I always use that incorrectly. Dang it. Ok, no more grammar remarks. Gosh! :)

        • Trish

BTW I am happy I am free to call people ASSHATS but didn’t know I did. Wow, thanks for the update……..not really! lol

  • amdamtawnia

What the hell is wrong with you. You say you are a fan. Will Adam fans don’t cut down on thing we say. We stand by one ether. That’s way there is so much loving and care. And that the way Adam would want it. To me you don’t truly love him. Maybe it is him or maybe it not him on the show. We would all love it to be him. We are not hurting nobody. Who care if we dream and hope. The main thing is we are happy. And yes it’s going to hard for the next few month waited on his cd to come out. But I know there is a lot of people out there . That have had there life change like I have. So to all the things you said . You can shove it right up your butt. Because you are full of crap. We stand by Adam through everything. We think he can do anything. He has taught us we can do anything. You just have to do it. So we stand by Adam , Glambert and all the true fans of Adam. ALL IS LOVE! Alway reminder that and live by it . Your life will be alot better.

  • Kate

I heard the “Mad World” promo this summer on TV. They probably used it because it’s such a great song and Adam’s version is current and well known. The promo is short and the song fits it. I am sure it wasn’t meant to cause a mystery. Sometimes these things take on a life of their own. Anyone remember “Paul is dead?”

I am kind of tired of all the “glitter” references that pop-up in the media about Adam Lambert and his fans. It’s getting old fast. But why are reporters so obsessed with people who love him? It’s not hurting anyone so, what is the big deal? It’s all in good fun.

Adam Lambert is a great singer and he seems to be, by all accounts a really nice person as well. Better to admire someone like Lambert than a complete A-you-know-what!

It’s very curmudgeonly to go after people who are just having fun. It’s like you are the fun police. Let the Glamberts do their thing. After all, they donated over $200k to kids classrooms all over the country this summer–on donate.org. That says a lot about who they are–generous. Be kind and generous back because being bitter is not productive.

      Good points, Kate! Well said!

Adam Lambert basher! End of story!

  • http://wwwhotmail.com Greg

Do you call yourself topidol because you are a Kris fan, maybe? If you aren’t you sure are a hater. I’ve listened to both versions of Mad World and sorry, but the song now belongs to Adam Lambert. I would not listen to it unles Adam sang it. Yes, he is THAT GOOD!!! And I did listen to the promo on ABC where they were playing Adam’s version of Mad World and I did watch the show and yes the mysterious guy does resemble Adam. So get over your jealousy and let Adam’s fans enjoy him because he is one hell of a talent to enjoy. I enjoyed his talent and was anxiously waiting for his single release the same way I do other talents but because of you trying to sway people away from him it makes me feel that Adam is bigger than any of us thought so now I will be one of those die hard fans, too. So, thanks, for the heads up on this remarkable guy!!!

    • TopIdol

My blog was named by my old boss at my former job who had me start it because our company owned a similar domain. This was in 2008, way before Kris Allen was on Idol.

I also had the Andrews/Jules Mad World as a ringtone on my phone in 2003. Regardless of the Andrews/Jules vs. Lambert version, I think most people still would call either of these the Donnie Darko versions.

      • Sabrina

Sorry to dissapoint you but now its knows as Adam Lambert Version

        • TopIdol

No. It’s still the Donnie Darko aka Gary Jules version.

Just like Lambert did the Muse version of Nina Simone’s Feeling Good.

You do realize, when I say this, I’m not discounting Lambert as a singer or artist. I’m just stating facts.

      • Verbally Dyslexic

I love the Gary Jules version. There’s a raw quality to his voice that expresses the desperation in the song better than Adam’s more polished version, IMO.

        • Trish

Well IMO Adam’s version is better. But that is just me…….although I don’t think it is all that polished, he is just THAT GREAT! lol

Are you people serious? I hate to break it to you, but Adam is not the second coming of Christ, the Rock God that you all want him to be. And as much as you refuse to see it/acknowledge it, you’re ruining whatever chance of a career that Adam is going to have. No artist in his/her right mind will want to take Adam seriously if they know they’re going to be harassed by OTT fans.

Do yourselves a favor, take a step back from it all and look at what you’re doing. You’re all embarassing yourselves, Adam, and the rest of the fanbase. Its just a small percentage that give the entire group a bad name. You’re not doing Adam any favors by acting the way you are, and you’re alienating anyone who might want to be a casual fan because they don’t want to deal with the bullshit.

Grow up, you’re all adults who have responsibilities. Act that way and not like 12-year-olds.

    • Kathy

?”you’re ruining whatever chance of a career that Adam is going to have.” wow Hate to break it to you- but the guy has amazing talent and fans will be there based on his voice and performance. And its beyond the US and the somewhat obsessive fans ha
His album is available for pre order on Amazon starting today and guess what– #2 bestseller already, no single out, album still untitled.. what? and a song on a movie soundtrack.
I know you love my avatar

      • TexasWannaHoldHim

Way to go, Kathy! BTW, I love your Avatar!

    • Trish

YOUR KIDDING RIGHT? Adam is not the second coming of Christ? Well crap, and here I thought he was. Now I gotta go and put all my stuff away……….I WAS so READY! LOL

    • JRZGRL1

You’re probably right, Adam is not the second coming of Christ. However, there is a strong possibility that he is the reincarnation of Elvis Presley. And this country would be a LOT better off if in fact he was nominated (and subsequently confirmed) as the Secretary of Glam Fierceness. The only other serious contender would be Christian Siriano & I don’t think Christian can sing. Although he does design wonderful clothes for size 0 models. Adam Lambert has been absolutely the best thing to happen in my life for a long time. If this is insanity, then bring on the rubber room. As long as I can take some videos & Adam’s new CD with me.

      • deez

“Adam Lambert has been absolutely the best thing to happen in my life for a long time.”

dingdingding……..here lies the root of the problem.

      • http://www.adam-lambert.org Jeanette@Glambs

Guess you missed the part in my comment where I said that Glambs is the name of our fan club.

        • TopIdol

I understand that part, however, its a bit difficult to separate all the different sects. I have never heard of Glambs until now. Glambert has become a general misnomer, even though I understand there are also Lamb Skanks, ONTD_AI Lambert fans, TALC…

      • http://adam-lambert.org Jla43

http://www.adam-lambert.org rules and if u TOPIDOL dont know who the glambs are ok, but why are u using our website’s article to mock us if u dont care about the fan club? u are just giving us publicity for all those ppl who dont know Adam YET.

        P.S: GET A LIFE!

      • Snotty

“Glambs” refers to the overactivity of hormonal glands triggered in middle-aged women when watching American Idol, causing them to behave like cats in heat.

    • Trish

I would rather be “insane” then igornant and down right nasty.

  • http://www.adam-lambert.org Jeanette@Glambs

I’m the author of the article referenced above. First of all, we at http://www.adam-lambert.org where the article originated are not “Glamberts” but “Glambs,” which is the name of our fan club. So if you’re going to be a reporter, please get your facts straight. Yes, we may be “obsessed” in your eyes, but at least we don’t waste our time in hating on others, telling them to “shut up” and calling them “insane.” We have fun sharing our love for Adam, and we don’t hurt anyone else in the process. I always find it interesting when reporters resort to hatred, disdain, and negative reporting to catch the attention of readers. What ever happened to having a few creative thoughts??? Or is that too much work?

    • TopIdol

What is the difference? I have never heard of the Glambs, which seems to be an abbreviated form of Glamberts?

      No clue.

  • deez

    Lol.

These Pavlovian responses are to die for.

    Two enthusiastic thumbs up.

  • Claire

Adam fans also thought they saw him in an Oprah season premiere commercial a few weeks go. Turns out the guy they saw was Criss Angel, not Adam. A lot of dark haired “emo” guys look similar.

  • mandy

Wow, the author of this article sounds like he has a jealous stick up his @$$! So what a bunch of fans watched this new series, and happened to be surprised that others besides themselves thought the same thing in the ending clip. To fans the resemblance is a little uncanny. However just because there is much talk about it amongst each other, doesn’t mean fans are batshit crazy!! Most don’t think it is for sure, but are running with it just for LOL’s. But to waste your time and energy writing such an angry vent of it all, makes you appear more crazy than those you are mocking! Ha

    • TopIdol

Ah, yes. Here we go with the “you’re jellus” accusations.

      How predictable.

      • LeighKat

HAHAHAHAHHA!! TopIdol- didn’t know you were a man!!

I just can’t wait for the episode to air and it ends up being Keanu Reeves ala the matrix or that weirdo Criss Angel!
Can you begin to imagine the uproar- they will cry ” ratings conspiracy!!” because, as we all know, people only watch television because they think Adam is gonna be on every show.
I feel so bad for “Ginger Pits” (as they now call him). He is an amazing talent with a predominantly lunatic fanbase.

        • TopIdol

I thought that’s just what they called his underarms…nooooooooooooo!

  • http://Twitter Anniepg

Of course, it’s Adam Lambert, the glittery alien from the planet Fierce. Isn’t this what all those crazy Adam fans have been waiting for? Positive proof??? There you have it. Believe what you so desperatly want to believe.

This could be some weird ABC marketing thing. . .

    • http://Twitter Anniepg

      I meant desperately.

  • http://adam-lambert.org CatEyes

Since the author of this blog doesn’t even have the names of her fan groups correct…the rest lacks credibility completely.

  • NH Glambert

She’s always like this…….it’s her gimmick ….either that or she’s incredibly angry at evrything……whatever.

  • Gene

Are you being bitter because Kris’s single is not selling well?

    • LeighKat

yes, because this is the only possible reason one could have to think that many of Adam’s fans are totally insane!

And BTW- I am an Adam fan. I am not bitter or “jellus”. I think this article is hilarious and true-

While I understand that the truth can be painful- face it peeps, Top Idol has a VERY valid point.

      • rickey

yes sTupIdol has a very valid point but the article doesn’t have to be so so negative. as someone else pointed out, these fans donated over 200k for charity in the name of adam lambert. while it was also a competition for whoever donates the most (the prize all Adam-related), many of these fans were touched by the schools’ pleas when they clicked onto the site to donate. Does this good deed also an act of insanity from adam’s fans?

        • Rupert Walsh

Many of Adam’s fans do not belong to any “fan club” and donated to DonorsChoice outside of the fan club competition you mention. I donated both to honor Adam and to help the schools. It’s a worthy cause and Adam’s popularity and caring has done alot to help. I admire him all the more for it.

  • Glittery Panties

This couldn’t possibly be Adam walking in the stadium. If it was Adam, those people would be standing on their feet, applauding him. lol Adam mentioned in an interview some time back that he was working on a top secret project and this could be it, seriously. Don’t be dissing the Glamberts, we can’t help it that we have such good taste and will stop at nothing to put Adam’s name in the forefront.

  • Wicked Glitter

I also want to add that the picture of Adam is kinda fuzzy. Could you please find a better one? I like the pictures they took of him in Detroit. The one where he is wearing the grey t shirt with the Tiger emblem on the front. Oh wait, Adam was in Detroit. Wasn’t it in Deroit, Tiger stadium( where the tall mysterious man that resembled Adam) where they filmed Flash Forward?

    • rickey

Epic LMAO! and i don’t even know if u are being sarcastic to HRH’s fans or to TopIdol.

      • Rupert Walsh

        Uh, duh…………..

  • Wicked Glitter

Thank you for the pictures TopIdol. I still think your a bitch though. Picking on us crazy fans who are dreaming about giving birth to Adam’s babies.

  • http://www.detailsinthefabric.tk/ Shosh

The real question is WHY WOULD THEY EVEN PUT ADAM ON THIS SHOW? These people have no concept of, oh, REALITY.
I mean, I’m not surprised, given these 50 year old women still think they’ve got a shot with him.

    • TexasWannaHoldHim

Wow…. a 50-year old can’t be an Adam fan without thinking “they’ve got a shot with him”? Trust me – this 50-year old woman can differentiate quite well between being a sexually-driven nut or a faithful fan. I think it’s the sane, faithful fans who have driven Adam’s album presales to #2! We’re proud of our Hot Rock God and aren’t afraid to show it!

    • Rupert Walsh

What a snarky thing to say, Shosh. I’ll bet not a single one of his 50 year old female fans “thinks they’ve got a shot with him”! He’s gorgeous and sexy and charismatic and sweet and has a great voice. What’s not to like ? Some fans may enjoy fantasizing, but that doesn’t mean they can’t distinguish fantasy from reality. Fantasies are fun and harmless.

  • kimberly

“I think the reason his version was used had more to do with securing rights than anything else.”

It’s late so I didn’t read everything here, but I do I agree with you about the use of Adam’s Mad World version over Gary Jules. My 16 yr old son won’t even acknowledge AL’s version, having purchased Gary Jules’ version after watching Donnie Darko. For some reason AL annoys him alot. lol

When I heard they used AL’s version, my first thoughts were: 1.) it was cheaper, 2.) They couldn’t get the rights for Gary Jules.

Anyway, agree with you on why they used the song. I agree on the other crap, too. I certainly don’t want to wish ill will on anyone, but Adam is new to the music industry and his fans need to chill and get some perspecitve on reality.

They watch a Youtube video of the Zodiac Show and proclaim “superstar”. I won’t get into it, but I can’t help, but question why he didn’t become that “superstar” when he was actually performing in the Zodiac Show. Why should x number of years later, watching the same performance on Youtube make him a superstar when he didn’t accomplish it then?

It might come to them as a shock one day to discover just maybe Adam Lambert is only a “superstar” to them.

    • Rupert Walsh

“Kimberley” asks: “They watch a Youtube video of the Zodiac Show and proclaim “superstar”. I won’t get into it, but I can’t help, but question why he didn’t become that “superstar” when he was actually performing in the Zodiac Show.”

Kimberley, that Zodiac Show performance that you refer to was barely a year ago. It took place 9/8/2008, just a month or 2 before Adam auditioned for American Idol. And he auditioned for AI because so many of his co-performers and people who saw the show urged him to do so because they saw his enormous potential as a singer and performer.

Ya oughta get your facts straight if you’re gonna be a basher.

  • cimi

    who cares

    • Isidra

Clearly a lot of Lambert fans. Poor guy. A blogger can’t even post how absurd she finds certain speculation without people getting all defensive.

Sure, most speculation’s all in fun, but that doesn’t mean the rest of us can’t have a chuckle at it. :-)

  • Verbally Dyslexic

Uh-oh, Top Idol look what you’ve gone and done. You’ve upset the non-crazy Glamberts who did not seriously speculate about Adam’s part in Flash Forward, did not spam random articles with Adamgasmic comments and most importantly do not think he is the centre of all things that is glittery good in this world. And one Joseph Fiennes fan. Imagine if you had really upset the batshit crazy ones!

Come on, people, let’s face it, you guys make it real easy for other people to mock you. And you guys coming over here to defend Adam and your fandom when obviously most of you don’t regularly post here proves that you’re no different than the Claymates and other OTT fans of past Idol contestants.

Oh well, your insular views won’t change anytime soon anyway. That’s the byproduct of American Idol. Overinvested fans.

    • rickey

      what about AI overinvested non-fans?

      • Verbally Dyslexic

As long as over-invested fans are around to perpetuate the stereotypes, there will always be people to mock them :)

        Carry on.

Verbally Dyslexic … There’s one problem with your logic (besides the fact that it’s flawed). There has NEVER been an Idol before Adam who stirred up the amount of interest. Go ahead and try to argue THAT fact with me because you would LOSE!!! When has an Idol ever been featured on the cover of a major magazine while still in competition on Idol? Adam did. When have you ever seen an Idol appear on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine within weeks of finishing Idol? Adam did? Go ahead. I DARE you to find one more Idol who has amassed the number of magazine covers and mentions in the length of time he has. You won’t find one because he is unique. I think you just may not be able to see past your homophobic and myopic view of the world. Maybe you should join the OTT Adam fans because then, by being Over The Top, you might be able to actually see from our higher viewpoint what is really happening here. You and TopIdol BOTH need to get a clue about what’s happening here. This isn’t an ordinary AI fanbase building. Adam is something much bigger than you 2 have ever seen. Why couldn’t he actually be the person at the end of the “Flash Forward” initial episode? I personally don’t believe it is him, but I can certainly see ABC wanting to trade on his fame and unbelievably large fanbase. It’s all about business and Adam is also a very savvy businessman.

      • TopIdol

You can argue all you want, but you guys really, really need to quit with the homophobe crap unless someone says negative things about his sexuality. Which NO ONE on this blog, or MJs, or most other Idol/music blogs. Because no one cares if he is gay. It is a non-issue.

Spewing the “you’re a homophobe if you don’t like Adam Lambert” bullshit is ridiculous. NO ONE CARES THAT ADAM LAMBERT IS GAY. By constantly calling people homophobes, YOU’RE the ones making it an issue.

        • Lambertfan57

Do you think that mentioning the Claymates isn’t an allusion to sexuality? Are fans only considered to be OTT when the Idols they follow are gay? So I think sexuality has been broached but using a backhanded method. And TopIdol you mentioned his Glam Fierceness. That is also an allusion to Adam’s sexuality, make no mistake. Maybe you can’t admit it even to yourself, but to a casual reader, your point and Verbally Dyslexic’s POV comes across loud and clear.

          • TopIdol

Glam Fierceness was a reference to stuff I’ve heard Lamberts talk about in describing him. All the “Dark Diva from Planet Fierce” stuff.

Neither Verbally Dyslexic, myself, or anybody else on this blog care if Adam Lambert is gay. In fact, I think most of us were excited to have an openly gay Idol contestant. The Claymates are referenced when talking about Glamberts (Lambert Fans, all groups) because they are gaining infamy for their OTT behavior, including many who can’t get over the fact the guy came in second. Those are the similarities. It has nothing to do with either Clay Aiken of Adam Lambert’s sexuality. The fact many of these fans draw these conclusions in the first place is kind of disturbing.

          • Lambertfan57

I sincerely hope you are right about no one caring about an Idol’s sexuality, but your characterization and Verbally Dyslexic’s characterization of all of Adam’s fans as OTT batshit crazy fans is empirically ridiculous, so don’t be surprised if you get a huge backlash over your ridiculous attack on the Glambs and other Adam fans.

If you had done your research and had followed Adams tweets and interviews you would know that he has hinted at “surprises” coming. Then if fans hear his “Mad World” being used on promos for “Flash Forward” plus the location of the stadium the trenchcoated figure appeared in (which coincided with an Adam tour date / location, plus the fact the figure is quite obviously Adamesque in dress, hair, coloring, and movement, why shouldn’t Adams fans add all that up to mean that Adam was featured in a shadowy cameo on the show? You’re on the outside looking in, obviously or you would have understood why Adam’s fans might jump to this conclusion. It really isn’t out of the realm of possibilities since Adam is fairly well-known now in the business and has a good number of fans counted among the Who’s Who of celebs. Did you miss Brian May’s comments on Adams’ 2012 song? Katie Perry’s cape? I’m thinking that YOU are the one that has underestimated Adam AND Adam’s fans.

          • Verbally Dyslexic

Let me break it down for you. Pilots for new TV shows are usually shot in March latest for a May preview at Upfronts in NY or Screenings in LA. The lucky ones get picked up for the September or mid-season lineup.

Also, Keanu Reeves did the black trenchcoat thing waaay back. I’d say he’s a bigger star than Adam Lambert, regardless of talent.

No, I did not miss either Brian May’s comments or Katy Perry’s cape (I am also not a fan of her OTT style, just saying). How can I miss it when it has been mentioned in countless comments in countless articles by OTT fans? And how in the world did you derive from my comment that I made a generalisation of all Adam’s fans as OTT? The same way you concluded I am homophobic?

          • whyamihere

            Adamesque?

          • Verbally Dyslexic

Personally, I don’t give a rat’s ass if a singer is gay or straight or is into strange sexual behaviours, it’s a non-issue to me. Yet it seems some people turn to it as an excuse when someone disagrees with their choice. I just don’t enjoy Adam’s musical style and taste. I don’t make fun of it, and I don’t trash it. To each their own.

But the fans are something else. I don’t understand the need to spam popularity polls, or hijack the comments thread for unrelated news just to declare their favourite singer the best in the world. It just affirms a casual reader’s belief that Idol fans are an overinvested lot.

          • TopIdol

I sometimes see a lot of this in anti-Tom Cruise blog posts/polls. There will always be a crapload of Scientologists to go comment how awesome he is and how people should leave him, Katiebot and Suri alone.

          • http://www.idletard.com Idletard

*makes more popcorn* I love how they keep proving just how deranged they are.

          • Trish

Can I have some of your popcorn? I find all comments funny, but sure don’t like the ones putting anyone down. Be funny, witty, not nasty.

          • rickey

you are living up to your name idletard.

          • http://www.affinityhealthandbeauty.co.uk Lamberkitten

LOL! I am as crazy as batshit about Adam – guilty. But I love your comments. And try not to choke on your popcorn honey.

          • Claire

Didn’t Adam’s brother call him The Glittery Alien From Planet Fierce on his blog?

        • Trish

I agree about people need to stop with the “Spewing the “you’re a homophobe if you don’t like Adam Lambert” bullshit is ridiculous. NO ONE CARES THAT ADAM LAMBERT IS GAY. By constantly calling people homophobes, YOU’RE the ones making it an issue”. Yeah I agree with all you wrote about that.

      • Verbally Dyslexic

You are right, there’s no way I can argue with the most articulate piece ever written. Obviously I am a homophobe and have a narrow view of the world because I don’t think Adam Lambert is the greatest thing to come out of the music business. And obviously my reference to Claymates alludes to his sexual orientation and nothing to do with the fact that he was also a frontrunner who ended up in second place and was one of the earliest Idol contestants to attract the OTT fans. I bow to your impeccable logic.

I hope you come back and read this post in a year’s time, or three months after Adam Lambert’s CD is released. To gloat, of course, but you probably know that already, having a higher viewpoint and all.

      • http://www.idletard.com Idletard

There has NEVER been an Idol before Adam who stirred up the amount of interest.

Oh honey, surely you jest. This level of stupid has been around since Clay was on the show. You’re nothing new.

      • bittercakes

For the love of sanity, someone save us all from the Wackberts. They’re may not be the largest fan group, but they’re by far the screechiest.

Interesting tidbit: Taylor Hicks was on the cover of People Magazine (their “Hottest Bachelors” issue no less). People has double the circulation of Rolling Stone.

        • http://www.affinityhealthandbeauty.co.uk Lamberkitten

My favourite quote from this whole page “For the love of sanity, someone save us all from the Wackberts!”. there’s some talented comediennes here. Love it. More please.

      • LuvBadKaraoke

And Adam will fail – like most of the rest of them. When he does, please send all of your donations to the mental health facilities which is where you will be turning.

And lastly, Idol is on Fox – why in the HELL would the tour promotion people sponsoring the AI tour- as seen on FOX- let him film something for ABC? I’m sure he was in some type of contract.

Grasp reality, hug your family (remember them), and get a life people. Adam was part of a stupid TV show. Most of the population doesn’t even remember who the hell he is.

        • JRZGRL1

Ooh, can I get your crystal ball? “Adam will fail” – do you have some predictions about the economy? health care reform? when the end of the world will occur (is it 12/21/2012 or, as I saw on a pamphlet that I picked up recently, 5/21/2011)? I am tired of mean-spirited people (and you would be one of them) saying that Adam will fail. How do you know? How do you define failure? By all accounts based on what’s happened so far, I don’t think Adam has failed. What other American Idol contestant, winner or runner-up, has received the attention and support that Adam has? Why do you think that might be? Can’t possibly be because he is one of the most talented performers to appear in quite a while? I’m 54 years old, I’m a musician/singer, have taken lessons for the past 7 years from arguably the best teacher in the Southeast (who by the way also loves Adam). Anyone who knows anything about singing knows that Adam is an incredible singer. And this is the last post I’m going to make on this page. You naysayers can just knock yourself out with your negativity. The rest of us are going to have a heck of a time enjoying what Adam is going to do for years to come.

        • Trish

If by failing you mean that Adam is number two in sales at Amazon for his preorder Cd, then yeah he is failing. Man let me fail like he does too. I can be rich while doing it!

  • drea

seriously, 95% of adam fans were just having fun. it’s hard out there after tour and before the single.not much news.it’s sorta stupid and nitpicky to make fun of people joking around. chill dude.

    • Adamnesia

Agree. I’m glad the tour is over, and can get back on with my life again. Before this past year, I would spend about 5-10% of my free time watching a few fav shows a week, taking in a movie now and then, or surfing the web for on a variety of topics that tickled my fancy. My schedule beyond work and household duties revolves mostly with running my kids around to their activities, bonding time with my dogs, and staying connected to family and friends. This past year though, if it didn’t involve Adam somehow, it mostly didn’t catch my interest. I’ve never been like this about any rising or established star. I’ve gotten to the place where I only give into this indulgence of surfing web once to twice a week, usually late like this, but as you can still see it is about Adam. This has been some crazy batshit, and I don’t take the slurs personal. I was a little worried myself, why such the reaction, then just let go with it.

  • Brenda Lee

Rickey….I was signing off when I saw your post..Thank God you are not THAT Rickey!!! I agree with you..what’s the big deal if some of his fans want to fantasize. I doubt they really believe it. Most of it is in fun any way. So what… no harm no foul. I do take offense when bloggers start calling ALL his fans bat crazy shit. When fans talk amongst themselves they do so thinking they are not being monitored and analyzed. They are just doing it in fun and not taking it seriously. It’s yellow jouralism when someone takes it and exploits it.

    • TopIdol

I probably would never have seen had it not popped up in my inbox. I didn’t take it from a message board, but a public blog which, I believe, also discussed whether or not they were a cult earlier this week…but kind of missing the definition of cult.

I’ll repeat myself again — I do not think all Lambert fans are nuts. I just think the over-the-top ones give the others a bad name. Especially when they inundate the comment threads on articles on non-Adam-related topics with all the ADAM ADAM ADAM rhetoric.

      • Vicky

        Angry girl,
If you are talking about the same site and the Glambs discussing if Adam’s fans a cult or not, you should go to the optician and get new glasses…. If you are going to write about anything, make a decent attempt to “study the topic”… There were a lot of definitions of “cult” given during their discussion.
As far I understand you are surfing the Internet with the only goal: to find any polemics to mock at and give vent to your bile….
Poor thing. .. Get a life!!!

    • rickey

oh yeah! fans are being monitored and analyzed. The AO site should be for adam’s fans only. Fans that are giving out their opini0ns. but nobody is forcing the issue or making much out of it. they are discussing amongst themselves. TopIdol needs to chill. i was kinda wondering after i read this article, is it that deep???

      • Sherena

        ~It ain’t that deep man~

But whatever, people have a right to express their frustration with Adam fans. I would’ve appreciated it if this thread said “Some Glamberts” instead of “Glamberts” though. I think ALL Glamberts, and to a lesser extent all Adam fans, have been catching some flak lately from a stereotype that most of them don’t merit. The ONTD_AI folks are pretty tough on Glamberts too.

        • TopIdol

          (Fixed)

      • TopIdol

Sometimes I just gotta go with what’s out there. If I see something and it makes me think, hmmm…then I run with it. A lot of people seemed to believe it / assume people watched the show b/c they were waiting for his song. This is what I thought was amusing.

A lot of what several of you perceive as “anger” is more cynical snark than anything else. And I’m sure that will lead to several comments about how I “may think I’m snarky but I’m not funny”. Yawn. I’ve read it before. I believe it was this time last year and the Idol fans were those of Jason Castro’s.

Its difficult after the tour, I get it. It’s part of the reason I’ve been trying to blog about other stuff. But I need to have the occasional post thrown in about Idol-related happenings/nonsense.

        • rickey

          right, right!

yawn back at you. whooooops sorry!

  • Adamnesia

HOLY BATSHIT! This makes sense now why so many of us have developed adamnesia. We must of all blacked out for 2 min. 17 sec.

    • TopIdol

Is Adamnesia a direct result of Adamgasms?

      • Adamnesia

I can’t remember. I just know I got it, and in a “bad” way. Um, I mean good way.

      • rickey

we should have TopIdolnesia where we can all forget you ever exist!

  • rickey

Brenda Lee>>> nope not that rickey. i was trying to be sarcastic in my response to B. why all the fuss if adam’s fans want to fantasize about him being in FF? is his fanbase really that huge that it could create an impact? TopIdol obviously thinks NOT. again why the fuss? let the fans have their illusions and disappointments. i think every celebrity has his/her own share of crazy fans.

  • Brenda Lee

Ok, Out of here. It’s getting real childish between Rickey and Top Idol making fun of Adam fans. No one reads Rickey’s blog I’ll have to remember to stop reading this one too. Way too childish.

    • rickey

im not kidding. i am really not that rickey. god forbid! i stopped listening to his cellcast when AO had their own adamcast. even saw the last concert.

  • Sherena

LOL I don’t think anyone seriously thinks it was Adam. You know, beyond a few crazies, it’s just fun to speculate.

    • Sherena

Btw: I like how big the gravatars show up on your website! Mine’s especially pretty up close, I have to say :P

  • Brenda Lee

Rickey are you the rickey with your own blog? The one with the cellcast The bitter one? The one everyone laughs about?

    • TopIdol

Nah. Different IP and a decidedly female email.

  • rickey

B>>>> nope i don’t think the glamberts have thought of that yet. i’ll suggest it in AO site.

  • B

So does the novel from which the show is based on have anything to do with Adam too?

    • TopIdol

Ha. I had forgotten about the novel! Although obviously the author KNEW Adam Lambert was gonna be big, so he wrote a novel featuring him.

      • http://www.affinityhealthandbeauty.co.uk Lamberkitten

Yes, I believe the author knew Adam from his Zodiac club performances and was so inspired he couldnt resist placing him as the central character of his new book. I believe also that he insisted that it would be Adam Lambert acting the part, not some lookalike otherwise he would not allow it to be filmed. Fact.

  • rickey

yep some fans are really getting carried away by all this. part of the hoopla that always surrounds adam. but u media guys contibute to it. u like to fan the fires. if u would just ignore adam lambert, his fans wouldn’t be this “crazy”. be fair. fans are only reacting to the hype u are continuously creating.

  • Anna

You’re just angry. Not funny. Not insightful. Not entertaining. Just angry. And it gets boring really fast. I saw you at that concert…And I understand now…Just saying…

  • Brenda Lee

Ok, I see. Yes, as in ANY fanbase some fans are over the top. I guess my complaint was you painted a picture as if all fans were over the top. Most of his fans are grounded and based in reality. Some are just having fun with it and yes some get carried away. But all believe he is really talented. The song from the trailer was Adam’s voice and yes a few read something into it. But a lot was in gest and nothing more. Thanks though for taking the time to explain your position.

    • http://www.idletard.com Idletard

Most of his fans are grounded and based in reality

        • GlitterAdamfaneyes1

Your so right, when will we be released though? I have more glitter to put on! Mine came off when I banged my head against the soft padding……..and because I thought I saw our leader too. ;)

  • Marilyn

You forgot to mention that LOST fans think the mystery man is Jacob, Twilight fans think it is Edward, Heroes think he is from a character there, and who knows what else. Let some kids have fun, yes they tend to get caught up in the hype, but so what it’s not hurting anyone.

    • Cuban Nerd

LOL, hahaha, you’re right. Besides it’s fun to speculate.

    • http://www.idletard.com Idletard

In the case of Madam frauen, it’s not kids. It’s grannies.

      • http://www.affinityhealthandbeauty.co.uk Lamberkitten

        Ouch! That hurts :(

But yaknow, grannies, cougars, glittery knickers, bitterberts – throw em all our way! This is all so funny. Really, I laugh at these idol wars. I really can’t get offended. Adam gives me so much pleasure and entertainment, the haters add a bit of drama, and seriously I do laugh out loud at the insults and this article especially has me rolling up. I am not being sarcastic, I genuinely found this hilarious, specially the glittery pants, the Obama reference and that we see Adam in everything. Funny cos it strikes a chord of truth. Just having a lot of fun – hope you haters havin as much fun as us fans. And sensitive Adam fans please don’t take any of this article to heart – no such thing as bad publicity!

        • TexasWannaHoldHim

Lamberkitten, love your attitude! Wearing my glitter panties and ROFL!

      • Gene

Grannies? LOL You ovbiously never visited ONTD_AI.

  • HB

Wait a second TopIdol. Are you trying to tell me that Adam didn’t invent the emo hair and dark coat look? Are you implying that that style has been around for quite a while now, years even? How dare you, I say, How. Dare. You. Don’t you know everything he does is original?
    /snark

Do like his version of MW, but I’m not sure why some think using 20 sec. in a trailer means he is an integral part of the show, but then again I don’t speak crazy.

Thanks for posting that 1st clip though. I’ve been hearing good things about this show for a while now. I wasn’t going to watch any new shows this year, but now I’m intrigued.

    • JRZGRL1

It’s utterly mind-boggling to me that ANYONE could label Adam Lambert’s performance as “forgettable”. The only way, in my opinion, that someone could think Adam’s performance “forgettable” (I saw it twice – in Charlotte & Philadelphia) is if they had ingested a HUGE quantity of a benzodiazpine (Valium, Xanax, Klonopin) beforehand. Then they would just not remember. Which by inference would make the performance forgettable. It’s the only explanation.

      • andi

I have to admit, Adam’s performance in Manchester, N.H., the last of the AI tour was forgettable to me. Now listen to why it was…..I sat next to another Adam fan and we were downing the beers and getting all excited for his performance…I drank so much I had a blackout. My friend who drove me there said I had a good time though. My new friend and I danced to all of Adam’s music. Don’t remember a thing! :( At least I saw him at the Portland, Me. concert!

  • Skyla

I heard “Mad World” during the ABC promo, NOT on I-tunes. I remember running to the living room to watch the TV and see who was playing Adam’s version of “Mad World”. It was ABC and the promo for FlashForward.

  • Brenda Lee

SO some of his fans where having fun with it so what? Or maybe one or two were getting carried away so what? Why the hair across your ass? Why such a bitchy attitude especially toward the end of your article? Wake up on the wrong side of the bed? Chill baby, chill. I can go to any fan site for any singer or actor and find a few out there posts but to write a whole article on it and label everyone as thinking the same way? Sterotyping much are we?

    • TopIdol

I find things to write about, if the mood strikes. I’m not trolling for information or going out of my way to be bitchy. This popped up in my Google Alerts (Yes. I have one set to Adam Lambert because I write an Idol-centric blog.) and I clicked it wondering what the hell it was all about. I thought it was ridiculous, sorry. I don’t know if I would ever have even thought of Adam Lambert when looking at the guy in the show.

The reason I write about stuff like this is because it amuses and amazes me. Some of the fanatical things I’ve seen written about Idol contestants, I’ve never seen written anywhere else. So yes, when something jumps out at me as particularly over-the-top (Mainly when it relates to something else, like a random association with another TV show, that sort of thing), I write about it.

Do I think all Adam Lambert fans are nuts? NO. Just the ones who are unable to maintain any semblance of reason, rational behavior or reality. Which maybe began to amuse / annoy me even more so after I was branded a hater & a homophobe who should be brought up on attempted murder charges. All for no apparent reason whatsoever and most likely because I thought his performance in Boston was forgettable.

I have no problem with Adam Lambert. I like the guy. But his over-the-top fans are ridiculous.

      • http://adam-lambert.org cherrylynn

If you don’t like them, why are you reading their posts? Can’t have it both ways, dude. No one will ever go ‘over the top’ talking about you in a positive way! It’s funny how some people take someone else’s success as a slam to themselves.

I am a sane totally rational fan of that sexy handsome talented hot charismatic Adam Lambert. I had no idea his royal hotness was about to be appointed Secretary of Glam Fierceness by President Obama. What wonderful news although he should be the Czar of Hotness. I think I will pack my glitter panties fly to Washington and lobby for Adam Lambert to be in charge of all glitter distribution also! I am really torn about leaving with so many new shows coming out. Adam will appear somewhere in each one he has been intricately placed somewhere everywhere I look. Just wanted to post so you would see we are a rational sane glittery pantie wearing Adam loving bunch of great fans.

        • http://www.affinityhealthandbeauty.co.uk Lamberkitten

          LMAO!

  • Tori

Yeah, okay, some Glamberts are a little over-the-top in suggesting that the pilot episode of Flash Forward got high ratings because one promo used Adam Lambert’s version of Mad World, not because it has a fascinating premise, a stellar writing crew and JOSEPH FIENNES. I’m a Lambert fan, but I tuned in to Flash Forward because of Joseph Fiennes, not to hear a song I’ve heard a gazillion times, now. (I’m pretty sure that promo did air on ABC a few times, though.)

Still, I think it is an interesting coincidence that, having used Adam Lambert’s version of Mad World, not the Michael Andrews/Gary Jules version, for instance, that this footage then appears in the episode of SOME guy sporting a long coat and emo haircut. I wouldn’t want to bet the farm that it is, in fact, Adam Lambert, but I don’t know that I think it’s impossible either.

    • TopIdol

I think the reason his version was used had more to do with securing rights than anything else. (Only non-ABC shows have used the Andrews/Jules version) I’m not knocking his version (although I have never cared for the ending, but I hate the way most Idol songs end — which I blame on lazy arranging to compensate for the fact the songs have to be what, 1:30-2:00 long?), I just think it is ridiculous to claim Adam Lambert has anything to do with Flash Forward.

I’m know Adam Lambert has a considerable about of fans but not even close enough to account for several millions of viewers. There are lots of people in this country who still have ZERO idea who Adam Lambert is. And they will not know who he is after his album is released. Or maybe they have heard of him, but will never hear his music. And LOTS of young men look like the guy shown in the show.

(As a fan of both Fiennes and John Cho, I can’t watch to watch the show. I need to just delete The Office and fit it have it record opposite Fringe on Thursday nights.)

      • sammy

TopIdol wtf do you even mean securing rights? Adam STILL doesn’t have the rights to Mad World, it’s still a Gary Jules (or whoever) song so they’d still have to get permission from the publisher of the song not the singer. your logic is flawed as to why they used it. They used it because Adam’s version caused such a stir in the media. They knew it would get attention. it’s really not rocket science.

        • d. b. cooper

It’s a Tears For Fears song. Good Lord.

The show would need to get permission from the writers (or the publishing company that administers the rights) to use the song, then get permission from the record company to use the recording. It was probably easier to get the rights to Lambert’s version than to TFF’s or Gary Jules’ version. SMH.

      • JRZGRL1

You’re right – there are a lot of people in this country who do not know who Adam Lambert is. I was recently in Alaska & met a woman in Juneau who had not heard of him. Fortunately, I had the AI videos on my iPhone & was able to show her what I was talking about. Her comment was “He’s so hot”. Guess what? He really is hot. And talented. And nice. Nicer than you.

        • wino

Guess what? nobody cares. only AI fans and fat chicks living in trailers are this passionate when it comes to a person they never met.

  • Laura

Hate much? Geez! No, Mad Word isn’t an Adam original, but they chose to use his version didn’t they? That’s because the boy can sang! You sure know alot about Adam and his fans to be such a hater!

    • Claire

You don’t have to be a “hater” Idol blogger or even an Idol viewer to know a lot about Adam’s fans. Adam’s fans tend to flood comments sections of not only AI articles, but articles that have absolutely nothing to do with him. For example, there was a recent article on rollingstone.com about Slash jamming with Dave Grohl and Duff McKagan, but about 90% of the comments were from Adam fans proclaiming that he is OMGTHEBESTESTSINGERINTHEWORLD!!!ELEVEN!!! Fans of Velvet Revolver/G’n'R who wouldn’t be caught dead watching Idol now know that there’s some dude named Adam who attracted some batshit crazy fans.

      • rickey

hahaha your comment is funny. the last sentence especially cracked me up!

  • Sue

What kind of writer are you??? You sound like you have alot of hatred inside. It sounded to me like those Adam Lambert fans were having alot of fun and fantasizing…what the heck is wrong with that?? Seriously, I think that you’re the only one who’s “batshit crazy”, sorry, just my opinion!

  • bea

Is there a point to this article? Looks like you’re just another person getting attention for themselves using Adam.

btw, thanx for adding the pic

  • Wicked Glitter

WTF why isn’t there a picture of Adam Lambert posted here? This crazy bitch wants to see a picture of Adam!

    • TopIdol

I just added one. Happy? :)

      • http://www.idletard.com Idletard

Ooooo here’s where all the crazies are living! Wow, TI, I hope you charged up your cattleprod to keep the freaks in line.

        • JRZGRL1

Nicely said, Idletard. You never know when you might need that cattleprod.

  • Claire

“Yes, this preview used Lambert’s version of the song, however, this promo appeared on iTunes — not on ABC.”

Ok this explains why I have never heard Mad World in the FF promos since I have only seen the ABC spots (and bus shelter posters). I was wondering what the hell these people were all talking about. They had me thinking it would be the theme song and that ABC adored Adam so they promoted the hell out of him.

    • TopIdol

They assume his version will be used on an upcoming episode, as it will somehow also be integrated into the mystery of the missing time and black emo trench man. Of course, the only reason Flash Forward got such high ratings was because millions upon millions of viewers were waiting to hear Lambert’s version of Mad World.

      Is your head spinning, too?

      • Trish

What kind of reporter are you? Does it make you feel all important to put down a group of people who are fans? Why are you so nasty to these individuals? I am one of them. You should be ashamed of yourself for being so all high and mighty. Don’t look down on others because they might not conform to what you think of as “normal”. BTW, there is a difference between Glams and Glamberts. They are two totally differnt groups. And one final note, ABC did use Adam’s version that he used on Idol, Mad World, on the promo’s for Fast Forward. I have seen them and heard them as well. So get your facts straight before you comment about anything…….

        • JRZGRL1

This person is not a reporter. He’s a blogger. Which means because he has access to the Internet he can get on here & spout nonsense without consequences. But hey – it’s a free country. But anyone who makes a point by saying “Shut up” is running short of ideas that are worth anything.

    • sammy

actually Clarie, Adam’s Mad World was used in the promos on ABC, I saw it myself several times.

That’s not Adam in the final scenes of FF but it is obvious that the “mystery man” does have very similar phyisical characteristics as Adam…

The show DID use his song for their promos throughout the summer so it’s not like the fans just “suddenly” thought he had a connection to the show.

What I’m more amazed about than the glamberts speculating that Adam appeared in the last few seconds of a television show (and they are doing this on their own boards I assume) is that you idiots clearly spend all your time LOOKING for way to mock fans of American Idol. I mean really? Is this your life? Wow, that’s impressive. LOL

      • Cuban Nerd

I was gonna comment something like you so I’m not gonna repeat it. I think exactly like you. Fans have the right to speculate and to think that guy is Adam. Let’s face it, there are a lot of people, including me, that are obsessed with him. I don’t think is him but whoever that guy is. He really looks like Lambert. And people like this topIdol, waste their time bashing fans.

        • wino

Yup, people have the right to speculate. But we also have the right to make fun of you for being so stupid. I hope are under the age of 16, otherwise, I am embarrassed for you.
