While I understand that not everyone reads the comments, I have received a couple that I think should be highlighted in their own section.
I think these women are trying to get personal with J Castro. The one organizing this cash card is doing this so she can personally give it to him. She organized a “date” at one of the tour dates when J. Castro came out to greet fans. There she was, with the table, candles, napkins, ready to have a date with him. She also spent 10 minutes taping him at another fan greet, monopolizing his entire time and conversation.
These women think they can buy J. Castro.
Notice how anyone who posts any comment (on DDB) other than “WooHoo… We LOVE HIM” is shuttled off to the bottom of the board to shut them up. That website if becoming more like The Stepford Wives every day. It is scarey.
Is this the “Date Night” in question? LET ME KNOW!
I knew when Stoner J came up with his “Date Night” Vlogging idea for his fans that it would not just be seen as a cute idea. Some people were going to take it to a whole other level.
Jason’s fans have totally joined the Claymates and the Soul Patrol in Crazyland.
In addition to the two grand theyr’e trying to raise to give him a cash gift at the end of the tour, they’re also trying to raise $20,000 to have him do a Private Concert for them. Yep, they actually contacted his agent to find out much it would cost for them to basically buy Jason. One of them also offered to finance his album if he can’t get a record deal. Jason will never want for anything again if these women have their way (at least until the new season of Idol starts and they develop new mid-life crushes on another boy young enough to be their son or grandson). It’s really kinda sick. They’re all trying to one-up each other and get him better and better gifts just to get a nod of approval or an ounce of attention from him. And these aren’t teenagers…it’s adult women.
Now they’re planning to lock the threads on the web site so that “outsiders” can’t see what they’re doing. They really are becoming like a cult and anyone who doesn’t follow the leader gets the shaft. They’ve also banned many topics from being discussed. Pretty much anything that doesn’t have to do with Jason’s MySpace plays, Jason’s Pants and Gifts for Jason are off-limits.
Poor Jason probably doesn’t have a clue about any of it. Plus he needs them to buy his CD if he ever manages to put one out without a record label so he can’t risk offending them by telling them to back off. When people say that your Video is the highlight of their week and they cry when you don’t post one, there’s omething seriously wrong.
And here is something else, sent to me, which I think is also a bit odd. Are the Castros just being naive? Hmmm….
His mother posted in the prayers thread because a man owned the rights to the domain name they wanted to use. She said she thought his having it was illegal. And she wanted him to GIVE this to her! GIVE IT…..like she deserved it! Then she said she did not post in general because she did not want people to go after this men.
THEN WHAT DOES SHE DO??
She posts his full name and address there! Plus the people who apparently sold him the domain name or something. Their complete name and address was on there, too.
VFTW received an email from a Jason Castro fan that does not do much to proclaim his family’s manipulation of these fans is all out of sheer flattery and naivite.
“I saw on the website about Jason Castro and his family. I was a really big fan of him while he was on the show, and often read the message boards. One day, I logged into IDF and noticed that I had a PM from one of the other posters on the Jason Castro forum. The PM asked me if I would be willing to donate money to send Jason’s GIRLFRIEND on a mission trip. That’s right…his girlfriend!! What really got me was that this was a request from his mother. When a woman from the board asked what kind of gift Jason would like from his fans, she suggested that everyone donate so that Jason’s girlfriend Mandy can go on a mission trip. I was shocked that his family and friends would be using his fame in order to benefit themselves. When I posted my opinions on IDF, one of the brainwashed freaks told me that “Mission Trips are close to Jason’s heart”. That may be true, but I refused to take part in funding them for him or his family and friends!”
If the above email is, in fact, true, perhaps Jeff Archuleta now deserves that Father of The Year coffee mug. I find it amusing when people think of American Idol as a show for teenagers and children. It’s become something more akin to a mid-life crises for many of these women. AGAIN — Not all fans are CRAZY. But the ones who take it over the edge, they don’t only ruin it for everyone else, they have the potential to ruin the object of their desire’s future musical career.
